Lake Michigan free off road Trackchair

Michigan’s Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has become the first national park to offer people with disabilities the opportunity to explore its trails via a free electric-tracked wheelchair.Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes offers the use of the track chair. This personal mobility device is a track wheelchair that enables access to gorgeous park features, including views of Lake Michigan, pastoral historic farm lands, forest trails, and meadows without harming the trail or adjacent land. This page provides a link to the reservation of the chair.At this time, (May 2019) the Track Chair is only available for use on the Bay View Trail.
